Friars Carse Country House Hotel

Set on the banks of the river Nith just outside Dumfries, Friars Carse Country House Hotel has been a regular Wedding venue for us for many years. Their fully heated marquee provides an excellent space for medium to large Weddings and Events and it looks fantastic at night with overhead fairy lights. They also cater for smaller Weddings and Events in the main house.

One of the highlights of Friars Carse Country House Hotel is the option of an outdoor Wedding Ceremony. You can get married on the front lawn with the river Nith in the background – it’s such a beautiful setting.

We have had the privilege of performing at many Weddings and Events at Friars Carse Country House Hotel and have also been trusted to take care of the entertainment for their Christmas Party Nights in the past.

Ross played at our wedding at Springkell and was absolutely fantastic. Even before our wedding, he seamlessly coordinated our schedule, had an easy-to-use system, and much appreciated payment process. On our wedding day, he was friendly, and even got our 35-person wedding dancing for hours! We had some last minute schedule changes that he rolled with easily, making adjustments and continuing to play a great mix of music all night, from wedding classics to modern hits that all ages enjoyed. Every song that we requested was played and he interspersed our requests seamlessly. The dance floor was hopping all night. The lighting, especially the stars, were also a huge hit!
