An Awesome Day for Bruce and Angela

We had a fantastic night at Mabie House Hotel in Dumfries helping Bruce and Angela celebrate their Wedding day.

We started the evening with the First Dance and Bruce and Angela chose She’s a Lady by Tom Jones as the soundtrack for this special moment. Bruce and Angela (particularly Bruce) are big Tom Jones fans so this really set the tone for the rest of the evening.

It was then time for the Father Daughter Dance. Angela and her Dad chose San Francisco by Scott McKenzie for the Father Daughter Dance and this song was particularly close to their hearts as it was the first LP Angela’s parents bought when they got engaged all those years ago.

Mabie House Wedding DJ

We opened up the dancefloor and as our first Wedding since moving beyond Level 0, it was great to see everyone on the floor enjoying themselves. Bruce and Angela requested some of their favourite tracks in advance of the big day using our Online Planner. This meant we arrived knowing exactly what they wanted to hear.

We played a real mix of music with everything from ceilidh to lots of 80s, Motown and Wedding party classics. We finished the night off in the traditional Scottish way with Loch Lomond by Runrig.

Huge congratulations to Bruce and Angela! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your Wedding day! Shout out to Sam and the fantastic Mabie House Hotel Team for all your help.

What Customers Said...

Hi Ross, You were amazing. We couldn't have had a better piper/DJ! We had so many compliments about you from our guests and the ceilidh was fantastic! When we told people we were having it they said they wouldn't participate but they did! Thank you so so much - we want to do the party again. You were great with dealing with my last minute disorganised requests (i.e cake cutting and throwing the bouquet!) can't put in words how great it all was. You even catered for my Dutch family. Can't thank you enough!

Ross was perfect from start to finish, always prompt in replying to our queries and the playlist for our wedding had everyone up dancing and having a great time. Very happy bride and groom!

Ross was exceptional at our Critical Care Unit Burns Supper. Playing the pipes numerous times throughout the evening (beautifully) and also keeping guests dancing all night with his fab disco. We had a blast! Everyone is raving on about how great a night they had. Thanks again x 🎉😊

Hi Ross, Thanks for your message and thank you so much for being part of our big day! You did a fantastic job. Thank you for being so flexible with the schedule and for making our evening such an enjoyable one. I have a feeling that the Canadian side, in particular, will be talking about the ceilidh for a long time. I've had a quick look through the photos and they look great. I will most definitely be recommending your services to anyone who's looking for entertainment. Thanks again and all the best.

Ross piped for our wedding and then was an awesome DJ at our reception - he played our favourite tunes, had everyone dancing and was so lovely to deal with. Thank you Ross.
