Chris & Zoe’s Amazing Wedding

We had an awesome night at Dalwinton Estate Weddings near Dumfries for Chris and Zoe’s Wedding.

Chris and Zoe first got in touch nearly three years ago to discuss the plans for their big day in April 2020. They were really keen for a mix of ceilidh and disco so our Premium Package was perfect for them. Everything was coming together nicely and we were so excited for their Wedding, then Covid hit – they had no option but to postpone. After a few reschedules, we were delighted to be able to celebrate with them in October 2021 and it was definitely worth the wait!

After their Ceremony in the beautiful church at Dalswinton, Chris and Zoe moved to the marquee for the Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception.

We kicked off the evening with the First Dance and Chris and Zoe chose the fantastic Ed Sheeran song, Tenerife Sea. With their guests all around the dance floor, it was such a perfect moment.

After the First Dance, we went straight into some party tunes before switching to a couple of ceilidh dances. We find it’s always good to have a ceilidh dance early on as it is a great way to break the ice and lets the photographer get some awesome dance shots.

Chris and Zoe made the most of our Online Planner and requested all their favourite songs in advance of the big day. This meant we arrived knowing exactly what they wanted to hear. They also picked out a song to dedicate to each of their Wedding Party which was a lovely idea.

For their Last Song, Chris and Zoe finished on a high with Loch Lomond. That wasn’t enough for their guests though – they wanted one more tune!

Myself and my partner Ryan can’t thank Ross enough for being part of our special day.

He was our piper for guests arriving, our ceremony and during our photos. He did an absolutely amazing job and the sound of the pipes was absolutely incredible a special part of our day that we will always remember.

Ross then was our DJ at night after our meal and he accommodated all our song requests to the best of his abilities and also has a do not play section for any songs that may be hard to hear on your special day which I think is a fantastic feature!

Ross was in constant contact which put us at ease and was absolutely incredible with moving our date following the pandemic postponing our original 2020 date and did this without taking additional cost or without question.

Everyone had a fantastic night and Ross also took some lovely photos of our guests and ourselves dancing at night which I thought was a lovely last touch.

If you are considering Ross at all we would highly recommend he is both an incredible piper and DJ, very reasonably priced for his time and what he brings to your day and just an all round lovely guy!

Ross was the DJ at our Wedding on the 22nd of June - he was brilliant. He made sure he got people dancing, as well as adding some Ceilidh dances in here and there! We cant recommend RK DJ enough. Ross was the DJ at our wedding and our only request was that the dance floor wasn't empty and everyone had a great night and Ross didn't disappoint with this. Through the planning of the event to the actual evening, Ross was always on hand and very friendly. There was something for everyone - including some ceilidh dances and even some dirty dancing! Excellent Service From The Day We Booked. FIRST CLASS** top DJ. Excellent service from the day we booked Ross. I was emailing him on a regular basis and was always very prompt at responding. Our guests were able to choose their own songs and the evening playlist was fantastic, the floor was never empty. One thing I do remember about Ross was his lovely manner and his big smile. Thank you for making our evening perfect - get the 28th October 2042 in the diary!

Thank-you very much from us all for last Friday. Everyone had a good night and the photos seem to show that too. I was pleased we'd chosen the uplighters for the room as well. The final choices of music from our playlist and the closing songs at the end of the night was very much appreciated and I think really worked well.
